California schools education is defined by its strong mission policy and vision for the future education of all Californian children. Its success is focused on certain principles, objectives and goals within a very diversely multicultural society.
The California schools education attempts to encourage leadership, oversight, assistance and use resources from the state level to attain world class level standards in education for all children. It puts great emphasis on working in partnership with educators and parents to create a system whereby all children have access to both the skills and knowledge they need to use in their future careers and post-secondary education, whilst teaching the basics of good citizenship.
Within the California schools education, educators and parents believe that:
- each child has the ability to learn
- each child has the right of opportunity to be successful
- each child has the right to a safe and healthy place to learn
- each child has the right to emotional, intellectual and physical support from society, the community, their families and their schools
The California schools education has set very high standards to improve overall education across the state by supporting the increased ability of each staff member and any agencies locally to achieve this. It maintains constant communications between those within and those outside its department, fostering an achievable environment that can successfully promote common sense decisions throughout the system. By combining the strengths of the system and the families who use it, they have a strong foundation of support to assist in problem resolution and results improvements.
The difference between the California schools education and others in, for example, the southern United States, may well be that the overall population has a higher number of people who are demanding more equality amongst nationalities, income levels, age groups and genders. California also has a reputation as being more forward thinking in some areas, and the general overall income, though not the highest in the country, is eased by a much more pleasant climate.
The system itself has some very serious goals:
- Accountability of schools for student achievement
- Building the means for each child to achieve set standards
- Instill excellence in each class through successful recruitment, support and development of teachers
- Provide and encourage effective methods to use IT within classrooms for all children
- Create further support systems in schools, homes and the community to support every need for every child
- Push for increased educational resources
- Push for more flexibility within education
- Maintain excellence in business practices
The most important difference from other schools’ education systems across the country and the California schools’ education is that it focuses primarily on the improvement of the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the system through all levels of educational departments with the state – whether it is a school board, school council, parent association, school district, county level school board or even the California state level department of education. It is a truly shared common vision.
