Any kind of official Italian leaning will consist of proper grammar usage and forming appropriate sentences. If you find a native speaker, you will probably end up with a better, more relaxed way of speaking the language since you will be able to use slang and other peculiarities of the language.

Whether you want a more formal education or are just interested in Italian learning, you should be able to find a program that will fit your needs and interests. If you have the benefit of practicing with a native speaker, you familiarity with the language will improve and before you know it, you’ll be speaking real Italian.

However you decide you want to learn Italian, you will need to choose a program you feel comfortable with and will teach you the way you learn best. Learning a language can take a while, but in the end, who knows, you may decide to go to Italy and put your skills to good use!
