PhD Educational Leadership

The PhD Education leadership degree prepares individuals and professionals from different sectors, including higher education and open education, to become leaders, researchers, educators and scholars. The student gets to choose from any of the following concentrations, which include Higher Education Leadership, E-Learning Leadership and K-12 Leadership. All students in the course are given the chance to develop and build on certain advanced research skills that are directed towards the creation of new knowledge and understanding by a PhD thesis. 

Students of PhD Educational Leadership gain the necessary skills and knowledge that can be used to function at the entry level of University professor track teaching or even at the highest levels of organizations. Students gain experience in widespread application and acquisition of advanced knowledge that includes current developments and trends in the area of specialty.  Graduates are able to exhibit effective scholarly presentation and writing, along with the required skills to design, compile, perform and effectively defend a doctorate level thesis. The PhD in Educational Leadership also provides students with the skills and abilities to make special contributions by publishing in journals that are reviewed by their peers or presenting research in professional seminars. Students who are planning on entering an academic career in PhD in educational leadership or post secondary education learn all the important skills and abilities for professional teaching in academic education profession programs.

Goals and Objectives of a PhD Educational Leadership

Upon successfully graduating from their respective specialized programs in PhD educational leadership, graduates will be able to achieve these aims and goals:

  • Graduates will be able to exhibit and demonstrate all those advanced research skills that are directed towards the creation of new awareness and knowledge.
  • Demonstrate a complete knowledge of all the theories and how they can be applied in the specific areas of education.
  • Demonstrates scholarly presentation and writing skills.
  • Conduct and design doctorate level research papers and successfully defend and debate over dissertations.
  • Abide by all the ethical and legal requirements to perform researches.
  • Make significant yet relevant contributions to the present body of scientific knowledge.
  • Demonstrate the skills and abilities to function in professorial track teaching and/ or at the higher levels of educational organizations.
