Bartending School
Why would someone want to attend a bartending school? What do you learn at bartending school? Both are very viable questions. Someone might wish to attend a bartending school in order to pursue a career as a bartender. Bartender’s can make a great living and have fun while they do so. As a bartender you get to socialize quite a bit with the patrons of the bar, many people go to bartenders to open up, vent, even confess, or they just may want to talk. If you wish to be a bartender it is wise to have very good social skills and not be shy or short tempered. A lot of this may be covered in bartending school but it is good to have a solid foundation before attending.
At bartending school you will also learn quite a bit about mixing drinks. There are several types of mixed drinks out there these days and if you can’t serve the most popular ones you may not be able to stay a bartender or may lose your own customers. You will learn a variety of drinks as well as their varied names since some drinks can go by a variety of names. You will also learn about the different types of alcohol and what goes well with what so you will have a wide variety of skills for mixing and creating custom drinks as well.
Aside from just learning how to make drinks you will also learn some more important things in bartending school. Such items as the current laws. Each state tends to have it’s own variation of the alcohol laws, such as what times alcohol can be served and on what days. What holidays change the laws slightly such as not being able to serve alcohol until the polls close on election day. There are many laws out there revolving around to serving and consumption of alcohol and if you happen to break them you could land yourself in some serious trouble. You could even have the license you earn at bartending school revoked and be unable to serve alcohol anymore.
