Education software is not defined by limited use in schools, libraries, and other learning institutions. Education software is any computer program that enhances your ability to create, expand, progress and simplify your everyday tasks. In fact, the program used to type this article is a word processing program and certainly classified as an education software tool.
Popular education software that aid in academic excellence are: word processing programs, spreadsheet programs, programs that create overhead presentations meant to be viewed by a room full of participants and art programs. Combination programs are popular too such as dictionary/thesaurus programs, phonics/spelling programs, and tutor programs. Another type of popular education software is language programming. Many people use these programs to learn a second language such as Spanish, English, Japanese, Russian, and Italian. These types of education software can either enhance a formal classroom instructional course or stand alone for the avid, non-fluent learner who may be traveling or deployed by the military.
Education software is used everyday in the professional world as well. Architects use drafting programs for their structure designs and teachers employ the use of education software in the form of games and puzzles to engage their students in self-initiated learning. Even doctors and lawyers use education software to enhance their performance in helping their clients every day. With the many uses of education soft ware in so many genres of everyday life, it is no question that even when we are unaware of it, we are all continual learners building new synapses with each new discovery, drawing conclusions upon areas formally un-tread, and expanding our perceptions beyond our own fences and into the fences of those thousands of miles away.
