Low Funding for the Arts – Bad Idea?
Although many may argue that technology and other subject areas warrant more funding, others argue that cutting the funding of high school art is a bad idea in general because it has been proven that it is subject that can engage even the most seemingly disinterested high school student. So it appears that high school art is a wonderful way to engage students and bring them into the fold of learning.

When it comes to the creative arts, a good instructor can make all the difference no matter where you are, and this is especially true in high school. Ideally, a teacher that is truly passionate about the subject of art should teach high school art. A good high school art teacher should believe in the transformative power of art, and be willing to reach their students using may different forms of art in order to engage as many students as possible.
